Job Description
Nuclear Medicine Technologist II
As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist II, you’ll perform a variety of diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine procedures using advanced imaging equipment and radiopharmaceuticals. You’ll work closely with physicians and imaging staff to deliver accurate results, ensure patient safety, and maintain high standards of care. This position is ideal for an experienced technologist seeking a collaborative, patient-centered environment.
What You’ll Do
- Prepare, measure, and administer radiopharmaceuticals for diagnostic and therapeutic use
- Operate imaging systems such as gamma cameras or PET scanners to acquire high-quality diagnostic images
- Calibrate and maintain nuclear medicine equipment to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations
- Follow established safety procedures for handling and disposing of radioactive materials
- Record and document imaging results, dosage levels, and quality control data
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare staff to support patient care and workflow efficiency
- May assist in training or mentoring junior technologists
What You’ll Bring
- Minimum of three years of recent experience in nuclear medicine
- Strong knowledge of radiopharmaceutical preparation, dosage calculation, and safety protocols
- Ability to perform a full range of nuclear medicine procedures independently
- Excellent attention to detail and communication skills
- Current certification as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (ARRT, NMTCB, or equivalent)
- Active state license, if required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
