About the Role
Â
As a Patient Transfer Specialist, you’ll be responsible for handling inbound transfer requests, coordinating with referring and receiving teams, and supporting safe and efficient patient movement through healthcare systems. You’ll use specialized software and communication tools to facilitate real-time coordination with medical teams, transport providers, and hospital staff.

What You’ll Do
Â
Receive and process patient transfer requests from hospitals, clinics, and providers
Â
Communicate with physicians, nurses, and transport teams to coordinate logistics
Â
Use tracking systems, maps, and call management software to manage transfer activity
Â
Document all transfer details accurately and in a timely manner
Â
Support quality improvement efforts and help implement operational updates
Â
Assist with training and onboarding of new team members as needed
Â
What You’ll Need
Â
Paramedic certification or similar clinical training
Â
2+ years of experience in emergency services, dispatch, or hospital operations
Â
Excellent communication and multitasking skills
Â
Ability to stay calm under pressure and prioritize time-sensitive information
Â
Familiarity with clinical terminology and healthcare coordination workflows
Â
Comfort working overnight or extended shifts in a clinical setting
Â
