Job Description
Business Development Director
The Business Development Director is responsible for driving occupancy growth, building strong referral networks, and leading outreach strategies that expand visibility and revenue for the organization.
In this role, you will represent the community to healthcare providers, referral partners, and local organizations, while also supporting internal teams with sales, marketing, and customer-focused initiatives.
What You’ll Do
- Develop and implement outreach strategies to achieve and exceed occupancy goals.
- Build and maintain relationships with hospitals, physicians, referral sources, and community partners.
- Represent the organization at professional events, group presentations, and community activities.
- Conduct regular outreach calls, visits, and presentations to generate new leads and strengthen referral networks.
- Track and manage leads using CRM or lead tracking software; ensure accurate and timely reporting.
- Collaborate with leadership and department heads on marketing plans and competitive analysis.
- Provide sales support by responding to inquiries, scheduling visits, conducting tours, and closing sales when needed.
- Prepare quarterly marketing plans and analyze results to adjust strategies for continuous improvement.
- Maintain accurate records of outreach activities, sales conversions, and referral development.
- Partner with leadership to ensure all business development efforts align with organizational goals and standards.
What You’ll Need
- Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent experience considered.
- At least 2 years of experience in sales, business development, or marketing, preferably in healthcare or service-based industries.
- Proven ability to achieve and exceed sales or occupancy targets.
- Strong communication, relationship-building, and presentation skills.
- Organizational and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities.
- Proficiency with CRM or lead tracking systems.
- Valid driver’s license (as travel to referral sources may be required).
