Job Description
Senior Accountant
As a Senior Accountant, you’ll play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting monthly and annual close processes, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations. This role is well-suited for someone who enjoys problem-solving, working with data, and providing clear financial insights to both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
What You’ll Do
- Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
- Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting documentation.
- Compile cost reports, billings, bank reconciliations, and other financial reports.
- Prepare federal, state, and regulatory filings in compliance with guidelines.
- Maintain ledgers, journals, registers, and other financial records.
- Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to communicate financial data clearly and effectively.
What You’ll Need
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Experience with general ledger maintenance and reconciliations.
- Ability to analyze data, solve problems, and make sound decisions.
- Clear communication skills, both written and verbal, including the ability to explain financial concepts to non-finance colleagues.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and adapt to changing needs.
- Proficiency with accounting systems and financial reporting software.
- Knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations related to accounting and financial reporting.
