As an internist, you’ll serve as a trusted point of contact for a wide range of adult health needs—delivering both outpatient and inpatient care, supporting prevention, and managing complex medical conditions.
About the Role:
Internal Medicine Physicians play a central role in adult healthcare. You’ll evaluate and treat both routine and complex conditions, coordinate care with specialists, and support patients in making informed decisions about their health. Your work may span primary care visits, chronic condition management, and care transitions between hospital and outpatient settings.
What You'll Do:
- Diagnose and treat a broad spectrum of acute and chronic illnesses
- Provide routine checkups, preventative screenings, and lifestyle counseling
- Manage long-term conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, and heart disease
- Educate patients on treatment plans and self-care strategies
- Refer and coordinate care with specialists as needed
- Deliver care in outpatient and inpatient settings
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date medical records
- Stay current through ongoing clinical education
- Optionally participate in clinical research or teaching
What You'll Need:
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
- Completion of an internal medicine residency
- Board certification or board eligibility in Internal Medicine
- Active medical license or ability to obtain one
- Strong diagnostic and communication skills
- Commitment to evidence-based care and patient education
